McFarland's positive displacement reciprocating plunger pumps are durable and reliably engineered as a hydrostatic test pump and chemical metering pump. Intrinsically safe, due to their non-electric air/gas driven design, these pumps use corrosion resistant materials for use in difficult and hazardous areas, such as offshore oil/gas platforms. McFarland offers air operated/gas driven pumps in sizes ranging from the single head plunger pump, Mac-24, for intermediate high pressure testing and injection, to larger versions at higher pressures and dual stage pumps, Mac-14 and Mac-28 Two-Stage. | Selection |
Each pressure testing or injection application has characteristics that affect accuracy, including fluid compressibility, viscosity, and line length, among others. McFarland Pump will help select the displacement reciprocating pump that provides the pressure, displacement, and cycle rate you require and adjust it under actual site conditions according to your requirements. When choosing your air operated/gas driven plunger pump, have in mind your desired output per hour. Select the smallest pump capable of achieving the output flow rate within the maximum number of strokes per minute. See the charts below for details. | MAC-14 |
This high pressure pump is designed for pressure testing and chemical injection with high-volume rates and weighs in at 540 lbs. Positive displacement, stroke rate and adjustment for accuracy. Designed using a power piston size of 14", stroke length 4 ½", cycles/minute adjustable to 60, and input pressure at 100 PSI. Mac-14's power gas max cons. 385 SCFM and its temperature limits are -20 to 140F. Optional equipment for this chemical pump: skid base, guard rail, lifting eyes, casters, pull tongue, special coating systems, sour gas modifications, complete hydrotest and chemical injection packages.

| MAC-24 |
This hydrostatic test pump is designed for both high pressure hydrostatic testing and high-pressure chemical injection applications and weighs in at a lighter 120 lbs. Positive displacement, stroke rate adjustment for accuracy. Design using power piston size is 4", stroke length 2", cycles/minute adjustable to 100, and an input pressure of 100 PSI. The Mac-24 comes in plunger sizes ranging from 3/16 inches on up to 2 inches. At the highest operating pressure, 30,765 psi, and a plunger size of 3/16, this hydrostatic test pump handles a volume of .04 gallons per minute. Optional single Head Simplex.

The hydrostatic test pump is designed using power piston size 6", stroke length of 2", cycles/minute adjustable to 100, max input pressure at 100 psi, and a power gas max cons of 51 SCFM. The Mac-26's temperature limits are from -20 to 140F. Materials chosen for maximum corrosion resistance. This reciprocating pump has reduced components for easy maintenance. Mac - 28 Single Stage - Power piston size is 8", stroke length is 4", cycles/minute are adjustable to 100 PSI. Power gas max cons are 185 SCFM and its temperature limits are -20 to 140 F. Positive displacement, Stroke rate adjustment for accuracy, and materials chosen for maximum corrosion resistance. This reciprocating pump has a compact design compared with alternate electric pumps. Reduced components for easy maintenance.

It is engineered for hydrostatic testing and weighs a significant 525 lbs. Its power piston size is 8", stroke length is 4", cycles/minute are adjustable to 100 PSI. Power gas max constant is 185 SCFM and its temperature limits are -20 to 140 F.
